Prints On Demand#

I offer 3D prints in SLA or FDM for local pick-up or delivery. Prices are dependant on your specific project - please email me at md@homonkulos.studio with whatever project you have in mind for a quote, or if you have any questions about anything.

You can find models suitable for printing online, free or on sale, at places like:

  • Thingiverse
  • 3DCults
  • Etsy

If all that you have is an idea, I can make a model for you, or modify a model you already have. If you want to learn how to make models of your own, I can teach that, too.

NOTE

If you have a project in mind that is supposed to touch food, such as a cookie cutter or custom bowl, you should be aware that both SLA and FDM are not food safe. I can recommend other possible solutions like casting your project in silicone rubber instead of printing, or coating a print in food safe epoxy - shoot me an email with what you need, and we can figure something out.

SLA#

For printing models that need extremely high detail - especially tabletop models. Stereolithography produces models made out of a durable UV cured resin which are pretty much perfectly equivalent to anything bought from a store.

My maximum SLA bed size is 215mm x 120mm x 220mm, at 16k resolution. Since that bed is pretty huge, and SLA can print multiple models simultaneously with no time penalty, I can offer a discount if you have several small-to-medium sized models you need printed at once.

FDM#

For printing object prototypes and practical designs. Fused Deposition Modeling produces models made out of different types of plastic, with different properties.

I offer PLA - cheap, ecofriendly cornstarch-based plastic which is very sturdy, or PETG - a little more expensive but even tougher than PLA and with a higher temperature resistance. Both are available in a wide range of colors, including transparent for PETG.

My maximum FDM bed size is 300mm x 300mm x 400mm, typically with a 0.4mm nozzle - 0.2mm is available on request.
